Guild Announcements:                       March 2010 Our March meeting will be on March 6, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at the Museum.  Guild member, collector and printer Steve Sylvester will provide a talk for new printers on choosing and finding a first press.  This meeting is free and all are welcome! Print Exchange:  The Guild's 2010 Print Exchange was a success.  Twelve printers and one papermaker contributed to the exchange.  The results were beautiful (see photos here).  Anyone interested in proposing ideas for next year's exchange please send them in.   2010 dues still just $15! This month's calendar page is by Anne Delpine and Dan Williams.  They used  photopolymer plates for the sky and kites, Kennerley type for the month name, and a magnesium plates for the days of the month.   It can be found in the Guild's collaborative 2010 Calendar.  Each month of the calendar is printed by a different Guild member, using the techniques and paper of his or her choice.  Once printed, all of the calendar pages are assembled and placed in CD jewel cases for display.  This is the second annual Guild calendar.  To see the calendar pages for all of 2010, click here.  To see the calendar pages for all of 2009, click here.
